On May 12, 2022, the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) celebrated Gum Health Day under the slogan “Take care of your gums”.

This global campaign aimed to raise public awareness of the importance of gum care, focusing on prevention, early detection and treatment of periodontal disease. EFP introduced a customized content generator, enabling affiliates and professionals to create tailored materials to promote gum health. Oral health professionals were encouraged to sign the EFP Manifesto, a call to action in the fight against periodontal disease. This annual initiative highlights the crucial role of healthy gums in maintaining general health and well-being.

On June 18, 2022, the European Academy of Oral Implantology (AEIO) organized a congress entitled “Upper jaw: aesthetic and functional restoration on implants”. The event was held at the Dolce La Hulpe in Belgium.

The congress offered participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills in implant-supported restoration of the maxilla, focusing on the aesthetic and functional aspects of treatment.

On August 25, 2022, the first edition of the Dental Golf Cup was launched in partnership with MFI.

This golf event, exclusively dedicated to dental professionals, aimed to offer a quality experience between colleagues, combining a golf course with various animations.

This global campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of healthy gums for general wellbeing and facial aesthetics, while highlighting their crucial role in preventing serious diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The EFP and its member companies deployed various educational materials and social networking initiatives to promote gum health and encourage oral health professionals to sign the EFP Manifesto, a call to action for the prevention, early detection and treatment of gum disease.

A day devoted entirely to exploring and sharing ideas at the heart of the dental sector, at the BluePoint in Liège. Students had the unique opportunity to enrich their knowledge, learn about the latest innovations, emerging trends and exciting career prospects.

The event closed with an evening of networking with peers and industry representatives from the dental sector.

On September 23, 2023, EACIM organized a seminar in Brussels dedicated to advances in zirconia implant prosthetics. The event brought together dental health professionals, providing a platform for exchange on the use of biocompatible materials such as ceramics in dental implants. Participants benefited from lectures to enhance their skills and knowledge in this constantly evolving field. The seminar is part of EACim’s mission to promote and disseminate the practice of ceramic implantology in Europe, in complete independence.

The Wonder Women in Perio Congress, organized annually by the Belgian Society of Periodontology, takes place at the BluePoint in Brussels. The event honors women working in the fields of periodontology and implantology. For this 2023 edition, renowned speakers such as Elena Calciolari, Laurence Adriaens, Mia Rakic and Vivianne Chappuis will share their expertise through various clinical cases.

DentalFlow’s MasterClass in Paris is designed for practitioners wishing to develop their expertise in implants and the digital management of esthetic treatments. Participants learn advanced techniques such as immediate implantation, digital treatment planning, and the use of innovative technologies like 3D printing and smile design.

This Master Class 1 focuses on the posterior region, covering the concepts of guided implant planning for immediate restorations. These courses also include hands-on workshops, enabling participants to apply the techniques covered and learn more about the SSA Flow concept.

The Dental Flow Master class, organized in Paris by DentalFlow, is designed for practitioners wishing to develop their expertise in implants and the digital management of aesthetic treatments. Participants learn advanced techniques such as immediate implantation, digital treatment planning, and the use of innovative technologies like 3D printing and smile design.

This Master Class 2, dedicated to the aesthetics of the anterior region, includes soft tissue management and personalized aesthetic planning using specialized software.

The course also includes practical workshops, enabling participants to put into practice the techniques covered.

This one-day course organized by the Société de Médecine Dentaire at Dolce la Hulpe offers participants the opportunity to discover in detail the principle of occlusodontics and all related pathologies. The day begins with a session on postural assessment in occlusodontics. We continue with a session on functional occlusion. The day ends with a session on osteopathic management of craniomandibular and multidisciplinary dysfunctions.

This event organized by the Belgian Society of Periodontology highlights “new ideas in soft tissue management”. The day, focusing on dental implants and soft tissue surgery, is presented by Dr. Mark Hürzeler, with an emphasis on modern techniques to simplify soft tissue management, including microscopic incisions and sutures, as well as tissue augmentation techniques.

This one-day course organized by the Société de Médecine Dentaire at La Sucrerie in Wavre (Belgium) focuses on “Oro-Facial Diseases: Tumors, Lesions and Associated Pathologies”. During the course of the day, participants will learn more about the pathologies of the oral sphere, and how best to treat them. The day begins with a session on oral mucosa pathologies presented by Anne-Laure Ejeil. This is followed by a second session on non-odontogenic orofacial pain, presented by Nathan Moreau.

This course, organized by the Société de Médecine Dentaire in Bouge (Belgium), offers participants the opportunity to discover in detail certain oral pathologies, whether of endodontic or periodontal origin, which can have significant consequences on overall health and specifically affect certain organs. If left untreated, these disorders can not only compromise general health, but also aggravate pre-existing conditions. It is therefore essential to diagnose and treat them promptly.

On Saturday November 30, the Société Médicale Dentaire (SMD) organized an exceptional day bringing together passionate and committed professionals.

The morning began with a Peer Review, a constructive and collaborative exchange where our teams shared their experience and expertise to move forward together. This workshop strengthened professional ties while promoting excellence and collective learning.

The afternoon was marked by a captivating conference dedicated to radiation protection, a key topic in our field. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the latest advances, best practices and issues related to this crucial topic for the safety and quality of care.
